What We’re About
Art for Hearts Sake is a Community Interest Company built around one simple belief…

Creativity helps us feel more like ourselves.

We hold a safe, welcoming space for you to slow down, create and reconnect with your art, your thoughts and each other.

This is not art therapy. And we don’t teach art.

Both have their place in the world, but we’re not here to “distract” or teach you. Instead, we’re here to hold space. To gently encourage and support you as you follow your own ideas, in your own way, with no pressure or judgement and no need to explain. To feel seen and heard and to share your art with others.
Just space to be and to feel the powerful benefits of creative flow.

What We Offer
The Cabin Sessions
Each week, Jane opens the doors to the art cabin in the Walled Garden at Flourish.
Bring your own project or try something new in a warm, welcoming space that gives you the time and opportunity to slow down, think and get into a creative flow. It’s a chance to keep coming back to your creativity, without the distractions of the outside world.
Workshops & Gatherings

Alongside our weekly sessions, we also run creative workshops and small group gatherings throughout the year.
These offer a chance to explore new materials, experiment with different styles and connect with others in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Within a relaxed and friendly environment, take some time to play, reflect and explore what art means to you.

Meet Jane & Neena
Jane and Neena have walked very different paths, one as a therapist, the other through personal healing, but both found deep connection through the creative process.
Jane
“I offer an artistic way to explore emotions, thoughts and feelings that are difficult, that are a part of who I am, but hard to put into words.

Art therapy was a lifeline for me for many years. But I always wanted to find more meaning and depth… and that’s what I find in my own creative practice.

When I make art, I feel free to daydream, to wander, to challenge my thoughts and understand myself better.”

Neena
“After many years working as a therapist (and being a hugely creative person myself), I witnessed the power of art through one very special client.

Seeing her share her inner world through her artwork blew me away. I realised how powerfully art can help us communicate what we don’t have the words for and how important it is to make space for that.”

We don’t believe art needs to be defined or explained. Words matter, but sometimes they are hard to find, but with art, expression can come more freely.

What started as a therapist and client relationship soon evolved into a creative connection, two abstract minds drawn together by the power of flow.

Now, we want to encourage others to embrace their own abstract, creative minds and express them with curiosity, integrity and heart.
